1. Unzip the plush toy (on back)
2. Install 3 new AAA batteries
3. Keep the battery switch ON (some models don't have switches in here, please skip this step)
4. Press the paw of the right foot for the toy to work!

The product was nice and plush, but unfortunately the music box and lights are not working upon imeediatrly putting batteries in. Customer service responded timely to my initial inquiry to figure out if I am doing something incorrectly but have not been quick to respond to my follow up inquiry to determine if I need to exchange or return the item received.
